Colorado 09

I just got home from an incredible trip to Colorado. I was blessed to spend 5 days with some of my best friends in the world. It was a very encouraging and refreshing time. Between the breath taking views of the Rockies, times of laughter, incredible food, and conversations about ministry and Jesus, I feel motivated to work on getting involved in building God’s kingdom again. A big thanks to Joe and Fina Puentes, Laura Anderson, and Phil Christain for making this trip possible. Here are some pictures from my trip.

Waves of Mercy

I absolutely love living on the Oregon coast. I find a connection with the Lord when I go to the beach and watch the waves. Since leaving Japan and then falling again after leaving Pure Life Ministries, I have had off and on struggles with the guilt and shame of my sin. Trust me, I know the passages about “there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.” I know that God’s grace is WAY more than enough to cover my sins. I know there is forgiveness and that I AM forgiven. But, all that knowledge does not stop the devil from trying to drown me in guilt and shame.

This brings me back to why I love living here, why I love the beach. Every time I sit and watch the waves I’m reminded of God’s mercy and grace washing over me again and again. It brings tears to my eyes to know that I have a savior that still loves me despite all my failures. I took these pictures while reflecting on this idea. I hope that you will take a couple minutes just to look at the waves and know that Jesus loves you. He died for you. His blood cleanses you again and again just like ocean waves.

Foggy Climbing

A few weeks ago Mike, Ryan and I tried to see the sunrise from Saddle Mountain. However, when we got to the top, the clouds started coming in like crazy. The stars were beautiful, but the sunrise was impossible to see. We still had fun. Mike even brought communion for the three of us to share at the top of the mountain. Summer on the Columbia

The summer on the north Oregon coast gets busy with all the events. This summer was especially crazy because the salmon runs were awesome this year. Here are some pics of people fishing.

I went out last night and took these pics because it was absolutely beautiful here on the Oregon Coast. If you live here you know how rare these type of days can be.
